Car Sales Consultant Update

Well, I’ve been selling cars over one and a half years, and I am still here!!

I can honestly say I feel very comfortable selling. I know the product, but even more importantly, I really get the sales process. It’s always fun leading the board (selling the most in the dealership for the month).  I have lead the board a couple of times.

Of course, it’s also fun! It has to be or it’s not for me.

It’s winter and so far the snow has been negligible. Which is a good thing because the inventory is much greater this year. (More cars to clean and move and move and clean) At least it’s good exercise!

My glass is always …full. (Usually)   Is you glass half full or half empty?

Snow Can Be Pretty But…

Snow sure isn’t good for business.  Yet, the strangest thing happens when it’s snowing, people come in to buy convertibles.

Snow Storms…In the Car Business

Typically, during a snow storm I like to stay at home and watch the pretty flakes fall.

However, now that I am in the car business, it’s a horse of a different color. (It’s not that long ago that I figured out in the Wizard of Oz movie, the horses in Emerald City did change colors. But I digress.) Now when it snows, I’m at the dealership.

My first snow storm in the car business December 2013, was…different, wet, cold and then warm, good exercise. My job was climbing into the cars through the snow plowed barricade to start them. Some of the cars were parked so close to each other I felt like a contortionist getting and in out. But, I laughed and laughed at the ways I was able to get in and out of some cars. So, OK, it was kind of fun.

Today, January 2, 2014…here we go again! Pictures to follow. Stay safe on the roads. Better yet, stay at home and watch the flakes fall. Preferably in front of a real fireplace.
